One of the things you can do in Throne and Liberty when you get bored with killing people and mobs, is cooking. Wipe the blood off your hands and let’s cook something tasty.
Throne and Liberty: Cooking 101
In the Character Info window you will see your Cooking level, which will start at level 1 and will increase as you cook, of course. The Cooking system does not replace the food crafting system, but they coexist offering different recipes.
As you level up your Cooking Skill you will have access to new recipes and the probability of obtaining better results will increase. To cook you need: recipes, ingredients and a bonfire or cooking oven.
How to Cook
To start cooking, the first thing you have to do is go to a Bonfire or a Cooking Oven. The Cooking Ovens you will find in towns will have more recipes available than the Bonfires.
Interact with the Bonfire or Cooking Oven to see what recipes are available and the ingredients you need to complete the dish. You can also view the recipes from the main menu in the Cooking Recipes section, but to cook you will have to go to a Bonfire or Cooking Oven.
When you choose a recipe you will see the ingredients needed to complete it and the way to obtain them. The most common ingredients can be purchased at the Sundries Merchant, but the less common ones can be obtained by other methods, such as gathering, fishing, etc.
Choose the recipe of the dish you want to obtain, get the ingredients, go to the bonfire or cooking oven and start cooking!
Make better dishes
The result of the recipes you cook will not always be the same. The grade of the resulting food can be of better quality by leveling up your Cooking Skill and also by substituting some ingredients when possible. Some ingredients can be replaced by others of higher quality increasing the probability of obtaining a dish of higher rarity.
