Vitalstones are formed when Gigantrite’s blood comes into contact with outside air. Mana energy is perfectly preserved within a vitalstone.
Gitantrite is wounded, and in its journey the blood it loses falls to the ground in the form of Divine Beast Crystals. Follow Gitantrite’s path from the ground and you will see things falling as you go, search nearby and you will find Divine Beast Crystals.
How to obtain Vitalstones
The only way to get Vitalstones is by gathering the Divine Beast Crystals. There is no other way to get them. Follow the whale’s path and interact with the Divine Beast Crystals that appear on the way. Great, now what? you may ask. Well, now you have to get on the whale.
How to use Vitalstones
When Vitalstones reabsorbed into Gigantrite’s wound, the special energy of a divine beast is released as Gigantrite recovers.

How to ride the Gigantrite, the giant flying whale
Once on it, look for the wounds you will find on its back and interact with them. By doing so you will consume the Vitalstones healing the whale and you will obtain Stellarite Element.
