The developer FirstSpark Games and publisher Amazon Games have launched the highly anticipated Solisium’s Awakening update on the global servers of Throne and Liberty, introducing a new weapon type, a 24 vs 24 PvP battlefield, a revamped tutorial, and a new support system for players.
Hyperboost features in the global version
The conditions of the Hyperboost servers in the global version differ in some ways from the Korean edition. These servers will remain isolated from the main servers for a period of 2 to 3 months regarding the auction house and cross-server activities.
However, the character development questline up to approximately 6000 GS is available across all servers. According to Amazon Games, this does not restrict player options and allows them to play with friends on older servers.
In addition, new players will receive bonuses in-game currency and stat boosts, making progression and boss battles much more accessible.
Limited global expansion
Despite community expectations, the global version of Throne and Liberty has not yet been opened to all countries. For now, access has only been expanded to South Korea and Taiwan.
In previous announcements, NCSoft expressed its intention to expand service to the entire Region 1, which would include Russia and CIS countries, although there is still no official confirmation on that expansion.
A key update for the future of TL
With Solisium’s Awakening, Throne and Liberty takes an important step in its growth as a global MMORPG, bringing impactful content and offering advantages to new players, while continuing to refine its international expansion strategy.
