Throne and Liberty Beginners Guide: Skills

In Throne and Liberty the skills you can use are not specific to your character, they are the skills of the weapons you use. When you equip both weapons the skills will be enabled and you will be able to use the ones you choose from the hotbar.

Skill Types

Passive Skills

The passive skills of the weapons are applied automatically when you equip them, you do not need to select them or to be using that particular weapon to obtain their benefits.

Active Skills

To use the active skills of the equipped weapons you must connect them to a quick slot. Select the skills you like the most from your two weapons and create your own build.

To use the skills of the different weapons you will only have to use them from the hotbar, you don’t have to actively switch weapons.

Learn Skills

Some skills you will learn automatically, but others you will not. For some of them you need to get Skill Books. You can get Skill Books by crafting them or as rewards from different game contents.

Upgrade Skills

An up arrow above your skill will indicate that you can upgrade it. To upgrade your weapon skills using Training Books for active skills and Improvement Books for passive skills, the tier of the books must match the tier of your skill.

Successful upgrading is determined by RNG and each new level of upgrading will cost you more books. After 5 levels of successful improvements, the tier of your skill will go up and you will need improvement books of that tier to continue.
