A brand-new update has arrived in THRONE AND LIBERTY, and it’s packed with fresh features, events, and gameplay improvements! Update 2.8.0 introduces the Mystic Portal: Treasure Hunt event, the innovative Trait Resonance system, and the stylish new Illusion Workshop. Plus, players can grab an Ornate Coin Twitch Drop as May’s festivities kick off.
Mystic Portal: Treasure Hunt (May 1–15)
Log in daily to receive Mystic Keys and unlock Mystic Portals, leading to a fun mini-game filled with puzzles and hidden treasures. Score unique rewards like Amitoi, Morphs, and valuable character progression materials!
Trait Resonance
Gear up like never before! If your equipment has all three traits unlocked at max tier, you can now add a fourth trait using the Trait Resonance feature.
- Use Trait Resonance Stones to select or randomly apply this new trait.
- These stones are crafted by transmuting materials and combining them with ores.
- New entries in the Lithograph Book now offer Trait Resonance Stones as rewards!
Illusion Workshop: Customize Your Look
Take cosmetic customization to the next level!
- Capture the appearance of gear using Illusion Scrolls.
- Apply illusions to your equipped gear.
- Now includes dye options for extra personalization.
- Only Epic gear is eligible for now, with more to come!
Ornate Coin Twitch Drop (May 1–14)
Celebrate the new update with Twitch Drops! Watch 5 hours of THRONE AND LIBERTY streams to earn:
- 200 Ornate Coins (after 2 hours)

- Dimensional Trials: Matchmaking rewards now drop after opening treasure chests.
- Arena: Matches with no kills now result in a neutral outcome—no ranking loss.
- Party System: Roles (tank, healer, DPS) now display in the Party UI.
- Hall of Illusion – Haylock: Fixed Ice Pillar attack type display.
- Crafting, Cooking, UI: Tons of refinements including new search functions and better controller support.
Item & Combat Changes
A long list of balance tweaks and item fixes now improve gameplay across the board:
