Excavator-9 is a Level 28 Boss, making it essential to bring guildmates who exceed this level for an effective fight.
- In the open world, Excavator-9 is located just north of Titanreach Ruins Waypoint in the Monolith Ruins.
- Guilds can challenge Excavator-9 in the Guild Hall after reaching Guild Level 9.

To find Excavator-9 in the open world:
- Head North of the Titanreach Ruins Waypoint in the Monolith Ruins.
- Alternatively, challenge the boss in the Guild Hall after your Guild reaches Level 9.

Excavator Boss Fight
Phase 1
During the initial phase, Excavator-9 combines close-range melee attacks and large AoE abilities:
- Wind-up AoE Attacks:
- Excavator-9 frequently performs large wind-up animations leading to devastating AoE attacks.
- Tip: Jump at the right moment to dodge the damage.
- Fury Attack – “Wide-range Operation!”:
- Excavator shouts “Wide-range Operation!”, marking its Fury Attack.
- A purple indicator appears, signaling the need for a Perfect Block.
- The boss spins three times—block the third spin for minimal damage.
- 3-Attack Combo:
Excavator executes a powerful three-part combo in this order:- Hammer Slam: Knocks players up in a line, dealing damage.
- Ground Stomp: Fires projectiles that can turn players to stone.
- Powerful Punch: Creates a large AoE, dealing significant damage.
Unlike some bosses, the Normal Difficulty version of Excavator does not introduce a phase shift when its health drops below 50%. Continue following the mechanics above to bring the boss down efficiently.
Key Mechanics
1. Fury Attack – “Wide-range Operation!”
- Wind-up Animation:
- Excavator-9 winds up and spins three times, dealing AoE damage.
- Time your Perfect Block to block the third spin and avoid heavy damage.
- Watch for the Purple Fury Indicator to help time your block perfectly.
2. General Attack Patterns:
- Opening Slam:
Excavator-9 slams the ground three times, dealing minimal damage. - Basic Attacks:
- Melee Attacks: High-damage strikes directed at the tank holding aggro.
- Mid-range AoE Attacks: These occur after the boss shouts “Wide-range operation!” and involve three consecutive ground slams. Jump to avoid damage.
- Purple Particle Attack:
When purple particles gather in Excavator-9’s left hand, it performs a mid-range AoE. Dodge this attack by jumping.
3. Special Combo Attack – Fissure and Black Smoke:
- Hammer Slam: Excavator-9 slams its hammer, creating a fissure that launches players into the air.
- Black Smoke AoE: After the fissure, the boss releases an AoE attack that turns affected players into stone.
- Survival Tip: If launched, immediately morph into fly form to avoid fall damage.
