Adentus Boss Overview

Adentus can be encountered in two ways:

  • Open World: Head to the Ruins of Turayne to find Adentus.
  • Guild Hall: For guilds level 17 and up, summon Adentus directly in the Guild Hall.

Regardless of where you fight him, Adentus’ mechanics are challenging and require careful coordination. Below, we’ll dive into each of his attacks and how to counter them.

Location of Adentus

To find Adentus, head south from the Ruins of Turayne Waypoint. You can use stairs or a grapple hook to access his arena. For ranged DPS, a helpful tactic is to approach from the eastern cliffs at Purelight Hill, using trees as cover to attack from a distance.

Adentus Boss Mechanics in Throne & Liberty

While Adentus’ attack patterns aren’t overly complex, they are punishing if not handled correctly. Here’s a breakdown of each ability and how to counter it.

This is Adentus’ most dangerous move. If a ranged player has aggro, Adentus raises his hammer and slams it into the ground, dealing massive damage and stunning everyone in the arena. Ensure that tanks or melee players hold aggro and stay within melee range to prevent this attack.

In this ability, Adentus slams the ground with his hammer, sending out a wave of stone in a cone. This deals heavy damage to anyone in the way. Look out for the cone-shaped telegraph on the ground and move out of the area quickly.

Adentus throws his hammer into the air, creating multiple AOE zones around the room. Quickly move out of these areas before Adentus catches the hammer and slams it down, causing spikes to erupt from each AOE. Staying too long in these areas results in significant damage.

Like many bosses in Throne & Liberty, Adentus has a Fury Attack. This attack is marked by a purple indicator above the boss. A well-timed block will negate the damage, but failing to block will cause Adentus to grapple the player with a chain, pulling them toward him and inflicting damage.
